13th Annual Juried Exhibition

OPENING RECEPTION & Awards Presentation:
Friday, June 3 from 5-7pm.
The Charlevoix Photography Club, Inc. (CPC) and Charlevoix Circle of Arts is pleased to accept submissions for its thirteenth Annual Juried Photography Exhibition.
With juror Steve Jessmore is a 30-year photojournalist, five-time Michigan Photographer of the Year, Robert F. Kennedy Photojournalism awardee and former Chief Photographer of the Flint Journal, the Saginaw News and the Myrtle Beach (SC) Sun News.
In keeping with the Pure Northern Michigan theme, all photographic images should be of subjects taken in Northern Michigan, excluding the category “Non-Michigan Travel”. The exhibition is open to all current members of the Charlevoix Photography Club and others who wish to participate (excluding professional photographers). There are no limitations as to when or where in Northern Michigan the photographs were taken. Cash prizes will be given for first, second and third place images in each of the six categories. The juror will also select, at his discretion, images deemed appropriate for Honorable Mention.

Charlevoix Circle of Arts presents Charlevoix and the Night, an exhibition featuring paintings by three award winning artists: Kevin Barton, Kurt Anderson and Phil Fisher.
Each artist explores their approach to nocturne. Nocturne is a painting style that depicts scenes evocative of the night or subjects as they appear in a veil of light, in twilight, or in the absence of direct light.
